About Me
With more than 30 years of experience as an educator, and as an Elementary (K-8) School Counsellor since 2014, I have had the privilege of supporting children through many different challenges and stages of development. I am Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Cousnellors (#13878).
I am proud to call the Kootenay/Boundary area home, a place with deep family roots and a strong sense of community. Outside of work, I enjoy time on the lake, gardening, and exploring trails with my dog, Ollie.
Mission
My mission is to create a warm, welcoming space where children and teens feel safe, heard, and accepted.
I support young people navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, divorce and separation, trauma, neurodiversity, and friendship and social challenges. Through a child-centred, relationship-based approach, I use play, art, games, and conversation to help young people understand their experiences, build confidence, develop coping skills, and discover their strengths.
I believe in following each child’s lead, meeting them where they are and supporting them at their own pace.
